An extension to a double fronted weatherboard bungalow. This single story family home makes use of a wide, north-facing block with a soft incision in the plan. The existing front rooms are retained and adjusted to better accommodate family and amenities, whilst the new additions to the rear flow and diverge for utility and light.

The small courtyard at the rear acts as a fulcrum around which the living spaces pivot, aiding the flow of daily life. The courtyard also provides a contained space for garden, an outdoor terrarium in contrast to the wide north-facing plateau at the rear.
