This local pizza shop is located on the ground floor of a rather unattractive 1990s development. The exterior has been clad with fresh white tiles punctuated by 'PIZZA' spelled out in black tiles, designed by frequent collaborator Never Now. A green neon in a mesh cage above the door highlights the entry, while a cove tiled pink seat provides a spot for respite.
An existing terrazzo floor was uncovered during the demolition driving a revised design direction. Upon entry, a curved black steel balustrade leads the user to a joinery unit of Carrera marble, and then a curved concrete bar dominates the space. The north-west orientation is utilised to draw daylight deep into the restaurant, with new timber-framed windows.
