Edward Street Warehouse. Built, 2014

A former factory in Brunswick has been reorganised to house a garage area for a fleet of food trucks, a design studio, and a casual café serving donuts and coffee during the day and fried chicken and burgers at night. The industrial elements have been retained, and repurposed veneer boards, a waste material sourced on-site, have been used to clad the ceiling. The design took shape from a series of conversations, rather than the usual formal architectural process; this unorthodox progression is rendered in the makeshift, highly functional and minimalist internal spaces.
